European Central Bank called for European financial stability necessary to expand the fund size

Xinhuanet Paris 3 December report (reporter li Ming) the European central bank President jean-claude trichet 3 calls for the eurozone member countries and eu institutions, when necessary, expand our European financial stability fund size.

　　特里谢当天在巴黎召开的记者会上说，欧洲央行鼓励欧元区国家采取进一步行动来储备应对更大挑战的能力。他强调，需要增加救助资金的时候，欧元区成员国和欧盟机构必须尽可能采取有效行动。

 

　　为方便在欧元区某一成员国出现金融危机时实施救助，欧盟与国际货币基金组织今年5月10日共同设立一项金融稳定基金，今年7月底正式投入运行。这项基金可提供的资金高达7500亿欧元，其中4400亿欧元由欧元区国家根据相互间协议提供，为期3年。

 

　　欧盟成员国财长11月28日通过了总额为850亿欧元的爱尔兰救助方案，但仍未能彻底消除投资者对欧元区主权债务危机的担忧。

 

　　11月25日，德国央行行长兼欧洲央行管理委员会委员阿克塞尔·韦伯曾表示，为提振投资者信心，欧元区成员国政府必要时可扩大欧洲金融稳定基金的规模。但这一提议遭到多位欧盟官员否定。

 

　　与此同时，欧盟正在考虑设立一项可动用更多数额资金的欧洲长期金融救助基金，以便在2013年中期取代现有救助机制。欧盟成员国领导将在本月中旬讨论这一方案的可行性。
